Martina
Martina was rescued from a high kill shelter on her last day. She had been abandoned there by her humans, because as they put it "she is too old and can't walk". She walked into our home, our lives, and around the yard with all the life a dog could have. She lived with us a year before we finally had to say goodbye to her. Her body gave up on her, but her heart never did. Martina was a senior who got a second chance, and we remember her dearly.

Iris
Iris was on death row at Camarillo shelter, in medical for a mass behind her eye. We removed her eye and the mass, but just within a couple months, the mass grew back, was indeed cancer, and we ended her suffering before it lowered her quality of life. She was loved by many, cherished by the very vet who tried to save her. We will forever remember lil Iris.
